Frequently Asked Questions

How do I restore my subscription?

If you’ve purchased the premium subscription on another device or after reinstalling the app:

  1. Open the app and tap Settings (gear icon)
  2. Tap Restore Purchases
  3. Wait for the confirmation message

Note: You must be signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

If you continue to have issues, email us at [email protected] with your Apple ID (email address).

How do I export my data as CSV?

Premium feature (requires premium subscription):

  1. Open the app and tap Settings
  2. Tap Export Data
  3. Choose a date range (optional: select “All Time” for all entries)
  4. Tap Export as CSV
  5. Choose where to save the file (Files app, email, etc.)

Your CSV will include: timestamp, glucose (mg/dL), insulin (units), weight (kg), and notes.

Free tier: You can manually copy entries but cannot export as CSV.

How do I change glucose units (mg/dL to mmol/L)?

  1. Open the app and tap Settings
  2. Tap Glucose Unit
  3. Select your preferred unit (mg/dL or mmol/L)

Your existing entries will automatically convert. Conversion: 1 mmol/L = 18 mg/dL.

What’s the difference between free and premium features?

Free Tier:

  • Unlimited glucose entry logging
  • Entry history viewing
  • Basic glucose thresholds
  • Manual entry with insulin tracking
  • Settings management

Premium Tier:

  • CSV import/export (backup and restore all data)
  • Medication schedule (custom injection time slots with quick entry)
  • Extended features and functionality

Upgrade via Settings → Upgrade to Pro.

How do I contact support for urgent issues?

Email us at [email protected] - we respond within 48 business hours.

For medical emergencies: Contact your veterinarian immediately. PetBG Journal is a tracking tool, not an emergency response system. If your pet shows signs of critical low glucose (lethargy, seizures, collapse), seek veterinary care without delay - do not wait for app support.
